Starting a new text from My Inbox in the mobile app only allowed a single recipient, so there was no way to begin a group text without first opening a contact’s record.
The new-message button now includes a New Group option. Building the group is also easier: search your contacts by name and add them directly, with each participant shown by name rather than as a bare phone number.
Two related issues are fixed along the way — a group with the same people can now be created from a different sending number, and a newly created group appears in My Inbox as soon as you send its first message instead of waiting for a manual refresh.
